Increasing Exports with Food Export-Northeast’s Branded Program

Good To-Go, located in Kittery, Maine manufactures dehydrated meals for people who are in search of a quick and healthy meal on-the-go.

With the help of Market Access Program (MAP) funding from Food Export-Northeast’s Branded Program, Good To-Go made 20 new Canadian foreign contacts last year. As a result, the company reported $160,000 in actual sales to Canada and projects to complete $220,000 in sales over the next twelve months.

Good To-Go strives to create the most delicious meals, using clean ingredients, to be enjoyed wherever your adventures take you. The company aims to change how people eat on-the-go by providing meals that not only taste great but are truly good for you. Good To-Go offers meals to suit all diets – which is why all products are gluten-free, low in sodium, and made with no preservatives. There are also several vegan and vegetarian options available.

The Maine supplier has participated in Food Export programs and services since 2017 by taking part in the Branded Program, Food Export Helpline™, and the Online Product Catalog.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
